These are the Great Grandparents of Virginia Stark

Edwin was the last surviving veteran of the Civil War in Lake Geneva. Edwin and Bridget were the parents of James Kaye. His mother was 32 years old when she gave birth to James in 1876. James married Delia A. Greinger on August 25, 1897. Ada Marie Kaye was born on December 2, 1897. Her mother Delia was 18 years old.  Ada married Adolph Emil Carl Voss. When Ada was 27, she gave birth to Virginia Margarita Voss on 23 December 1923. Virginia married Anthony Peter Stark on April 17, 1948, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. They had six children in 11 years. She died on September 5, 2004, in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, at the age of 80.

Edwin Kaye

Edwin Kaye was born in October 1837. He immigrated to America in 1859. Edwin fought in the Civil War for the Union as a private in Company C, 22nd Regiment, Wisconsin. He was captured by the Confederates and held in Libby prison. He was released in a prisoner exchange and later served under General Sherman on the “March to the Sea”. He married Bridget McNamee in 1868. They had five children in 16 years. He died on January 20, 1933, in Walworth County, Wisconsin, at the age of 85. (*Note: He was actually 95.) He was the last serving member of the Lake Geneva G.A.R. post. (Grand Army of the Republic).

Bridget (McNamee) Kaye

Bridget McNamee was born in October 1847 in Wisconsin. Her parents were born in Ireland. She married Edwin Kaye in 1868. They had five children in 16 years. She died on October 7, 1924, in Walworth County, Wisconsin, at the age of 77.

Both her and husband Edwin are buried in Saint Francis de Sales Cemetery, Lake Geneva, Walworth County, Wisconsin.

James Kaye

When James Frances Kaye was born in 1867 in Wisconsin, his father, Edwin, was 39 and his mother, Bridget, was 32. He married Delia A. Greinger on August 25, 1897, in Walworth County, Wisconsin. They had eight children in 17 years. He died in 1947 in Walworth County, Wisconsin, at the age of 71.

Delia (Greinger) Kaye

When Delia A. Greinger was born in 1878 in Wisconsin, her father, John, was 35 and her mother, Caroline, was 33. She married James Frances Kaye on August 25, 1897, in Walworth County, Wisconsin. They had eight children in 17 years. She died on June 21, 1955, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, at the age of 76. Both her and husband James are buried in Saint Francis de Sales Cemetery, Lake Geneva, Walworth County, Wisconsin.

Delia’s Parents

John Greniger was born in 1844 in Württemberger Hof, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He had three sons and four daughters with Caroline Mertz between 1866 and 1879. Caroline Mertz was born in 1846 in Germany.

Ada Marie (Kaye) Voss

When Ada Marie Kaye was born on December 2, 1897, in Wisconsin, her father, James, was 27 and her mother, Delia, was 18. She had one son and two daughters with Adolph Emil Carl Voss between 1923 and 1933. She died having lived for more than 100 years. She died on July 25, 2002, in Walworth County, Wisconsin, at the age of 104.

When Adolph Emil Carl Voss was born in September 1898 in Wisconsin, his father, Otto, was 22 and his mother, Lena, was 23. He had one son and two daughters with Ada Marie KAYE between 1923 and 1933. He died on June 30, 1981, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, at the age of 82. Both him and wife Ada are buried in Saint Francis de Sales Cemetery, Lake Geneva, Walworth County, Wisconsin

Adolph Parents

Otto Carl Albert Voss was born on January 1, 1876, in Germany. He married Lena in 1894. They had six children in 18 years. He was living in La Porte, Indiana, when he registered for the World War I draft.

Lena Voss was born in April 1875 in Germany to Hulda Torn and John Kamkoltz, age 37. She married Otto Carl Albert in 1894. They had six children in 18 years. She had two sisters.
