Here’s where Abram and Ansel’s land in Oregon was located.
They both bought and sold land over time. Not sure all of it is shown here, but it gives a good idea.
1853 Abram and Ansel’s DLC land.
1866 Abram and wife Sarah are listed as buying 3 sections.
1878 Abram buys land it already looks like he owns. I think map at left was just registering his DLC claim.
1878 Ansel land purchase
1885 Ansel land purchase
1888 Abram land purchase
1891 Abram’s daughter Alzena buys land
1853 thru 1891. This shows all of the purchases listed in the BLM index.
Here’s a rough guess at the land that the Big K owns.
Here’s a screenshot of BLM Land records with dates. There are more land sales than shown here. Douglas County Registar of Deeds has them.
The land is now occupied by the Big K Ranch.
