Caroline’s Surprising Ancestry •••••••••••
Caroline’s story is covered in the Olson page. The surprises don’t end there. Caroline’s great-grandmother was Christine Cathrine Testmann. The Testmanns have a well recorded lineage that goes back to Danish and Norwegian Nobility.
Johan Vibe ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Johan Vibe (also Wibe) (16 April 1637 – 20 February 1710) was a Danish military officer and engineer, who was appointed Governor-General of Norway by the Danish crown from 10 April 1708 until his death. According to the list of Norwegian Nobility he received his nobility by a patent. (Meaning he was awarded nobility and not born into it.)

Around 1682 he was transferred to Trondheim.
Antonette Pedersdatter Wibe (Vibe) ••••••
Sister to Johan Vibe. She lived to be 102 years old and was born in Paris to an unknown mother. Her father was a Danish ambassador. The speculation from old texts is that he had an affair with a member of the French nobility. Whoever it was is a mystery. Both Johan and Antonette were the result. It’s noted that he raised both children as his own. Most illegitimate children in this situation were not recognized.
Birth: May, 1624 in Paris, France
Death: 1726 in Moldegård, Møre og Romsdal, Norway
Place of Burial: Molde Church, Norway
NOTE:
Please keep in mind that I don't speak Norwegian. I'll provide links to the original text, so if I've really gone off track here, please let me know. The photos come from an Exhibition staged for Trondhiem's 900th anniversary in 1897.

The paragraph below is my limited attempt to translate what was written to accompany the photo.
She was the daughter of Peder Wibe, who was the Danish ambassador in France, later in Sweden, and in 1656-58 "Lensherre" in Trondheim (a Feudal Overlord). She was the sister of General Lieutenant Deputy Governor Johan Wibe. She was also the mother of the Isabella Dorothea Nobel. It is also told that when she came from France to Denmark as a child, she burned her rosary and was thought to have come from among Pagans. At her wedding, Prince Frederick the 3rd escorted her to the Church. Her hair was so long that his spurs got tangled in it. She was waited on by 30 mounted attendants. In her old age she found that the contemporary Festivals were nothing compared to what she had experienced during her youth. In her last years she was blind.
